Organising the WCSJ2013 has been a wonderful opportunity and we have had the pleasure of communicating with science journalists from all over the world. Thank you all, for your cooperation, and hopefully we will manage to shake hands at the end of June!
We are now making the final preparations for the conference and it is hard to believe that the WCSJ2013 is only two weeks away! The conference programme has been quite a puzzle to put together but now all the pieces are in place and we are proud of the versatile and intriguing programme that we have to offer. The hard work of all the producers and speakers has paid off and we promise that you will have a difficult time in deciding which panels, debates and workshops to attend. Whichever sessions you choose to go to, we hope they will offer you inspiration and new ideas for your work.
If you still wish you could be in two places at the same time in order to attend two equally catchy sessions, it is almost possible to do that. Live-tweets, blogging and socializing afterwards will keep you updated on what went on in the auditorium next-door.
Hopefully you will also post online some highlights from the sessions that you have chosen. We will have a large Multitouch screen at the conference with a Twitter wall to share all your comments.
The University of Helsinki is the perfect venue for the conference and the Great Hall, where all the plenary sessions will take place, is breathtakingly beautiful. The conference venue is at the heart of the city centre and many of the best sights in Helsinki are only minutes away. We warmly recommend that you explore the city during the evenings.
We are delighted to welcome you to Helsinki, and hope you will enjoy your visit!

PS. There really will be 24-hour daylight during your stay here, so it might be good idea to pack a sleep mask!
