There’s less than one year to go until the 8th World Conference of Science Journalists in Helsinki. As the conference preparations kick into high gear, the WCSJ2013 organisation is excited to offer you a sneak peek of what is to come.

Hello all science journalists, science editors, science communicators and everybody interested in communicating science!

I am happy to launch this official WCSJ2013 blog site to invite you all to Helsinki in June 2013.

I hope this blog will provide you with adequate insight into WCSJ2013 and our programme, as well as the social activities we have been planning for you.

With this blog site we want to provide you with information about the people behind the organisation: who they are and what they think about various issues. You will also find out about Helsinki, Finland and the Finnish people.

We would like to invite visiting science bloggers worldwide to tell about their thoughts and expectations on WCSJ2013, their sessions and, furthermore, what they think is important in science writing at the moment.
