¹ To qualify for the discount rate, a student is required to provide proof of ongoing full-time study, in English (e.g. official enrollment verification, a statement signed by an official representative at her/his institution, or a copy of a valid International Student Identification Card), upon registration. The documentation should be sent to WCSJ2013/Confedent International Ltd, Aleksanterinkatu 44, 00100 Helsinki, Finland, or e-mailed to [email protected]. If we do not receive verification within a month of registration, the fee amount will be adjusted to the general registration price and the difference will be charged. WFSJ membership is not required.

² This fee is only available to those who have registered for other parts of the Conference (One Day – 25th, 26th or 27th June), as attendance on the opening day only is not available.

Fees Explanation

Above is the range of delegate fees available for the conference. The variation within each fee range is due to membership and early bird booking discounts being available. To receive the special student rate, proof of student status will be required upon registration.

All prices are in euro (€).

Full registration for the conference includes:

• Access to all three main conference days and the pre-conference workshop day
• Lunch and coffee breaks as indicated in the conference programme
• The conference opening plenary and welcome reception on 24^th June (registration required)
• The closing evening event on 27^th June at Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre (registration required)
• Special conference seminars and social events, e.g. “Science at Midnight”(registration required; admission granted on a first-come, first-served basis)

Please note that the One Day –registration fee covers the attendance to sessions and events, as well as lunch and coffee at the conference venue, only for the days of attendance.

Note: The registration first opening on September 10^th will be only for attending the main conference days, the pre-conference workshop day, and booking your accommodation for WCSJ2013. See Registration information.

Travel grants

The WCSJ2013 Organisation will be providing a limited number of travel grants for science journalists wishing to attend the World Conference in Helsinki. We will be accepting applications at a later date – please follow the conference website news, subscribe to our newsletter or contact the conference director to learn more about the opening of the application period.
