The WCSJ2013 Organising Committee together with the local conference organiser Confedent International Ltd has reserved a number of hotel rooms in various hotels in different price categories. All hotels are near the venue, either within walking distance or easily accessible by public transportation.
Travelling within Helsinki
For your convenience of travel within Helsinki, we will be providing within your delegate package a Helsinki city public transportation travel card for the duration of your stay. The travel card is valid in all of the different public transportation vehicles in Helsinki including buses and trams that will take you from the hotel to the conference venues.
Accommodation payment
Please note that the mentioned hotel prices are valid only when reservations are made via the online conference registration form, which will be made available upon the opening of Registration (10th September 2012).
To guarantee the reservation you will be requested to pay a deposit of one night in advance together with your registration fee. The deposit will be deducted from your total hotel bill which is to be settled at the hotel.
Also, the availability can only be guaranteed for early bookings. Delegates are free to make their own accommodation arrangements, but do note that summer 2013 will be a particularly busy period in Helsinki when it comes to conferences and events, so room availability or prices cannot be guaranteed and the making of such bookings will be at the delegate’s own risk.
All prices include breakfast (except Hostel Academica) and VAT.

Cancellation terms
Insurance:
The conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to conference participants or those accompanying them, either during, or as a result of the conference.
Please check the validity of your own travel insurance.
Cancellation of registration and accommodation:
All cancellations and/or changes in registration and accommodation must be made in writing to the WCSJ2013 secretariat.
For cancellation received before April 20th, 2013 there will be a full refund (with the deduction of a €50 administration fee).
For cancellations received after April 20th, 2013 there will be no refunds (100 % payment to be made if the fees are not already paid at the time of cancellation).
There will be no refunds for no-shows.
The Conference organisation does not take the responsibility of force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of a severe contagious epidemic, major strikes, etc.). In such a case, the WCSJ2013 Organising Committee will decide on the refunding of paid conference fees.
