Speakers
Ingemar Björklund, MA, is the acting Project Manager for the media-oriented information service Expertanswer hosted by the Swedish Research Council in cooperation with an extensive academic network. Björklund is a trained journalist with more than 30 years of experience as a reporter, subeditor and press officer. For six years, before joining Expertanswar, Björklund was press officer at Södertörn University in Stockholm. At Expertanswer, he has been developing the site and its services to their present-day level. Björklund holds an academic degree in journalism from the Stockholm University School of Journalism and a Master’s degree in practical knowledge from Södertörn University College, the latter comprising a paper focusing on the meeting between journalist and interviewee.
Leena Vähäkylä, MSocSc, is Communications Specialist at the Academy of Finland. Vähäkylä has been the editor-in-chief of the press service Xpert Search from its start 2005. She has studied, among other things, journalism at the University of Tampere. Before her career as a press officer, she was a journalist for ten years. Before taking on her present position at the Academy of Finland, she worked as Press Officer in the State Regional Administrative Agency of Eastern Finland.
